Peas in a pod
Well this morning started really early for Xander. He had to be at the hospital for 8 am. He was getting a general anesthestic to get teeth pulled. They don't get many Sweet's and I brush their teeth but what started as a couple mini cavities that only needed playdough type fillings a couple of years ago now turned into getting them pulled. 4years it has taken me to get him through the dentist door and into the chair. He only lets the dentist check but not do anything. I put it down to him not getting calcium as a baby as he had a awful milk allergy. He did so well. It was very traumatic for Mr R though. Especially as Xander didn't come round from the anesthestic well at all. They were away for 6 hours.
And today is Christmas Eve. Normally a time for when families get together and celebrate. But this year is so different for so many people. I think what this Christmas is showing is that it's not the food and drink that's important but family and friends. And this year it will be a catch up through facetime, or zoom or apps like that for so many people. A different type of Christmas, but one still filled with love. Neighbours have shown their community spirit and kindness all around the world, stranger's are sending card's to care home's, more people than ever are donating gift's. And blip is a wonderful community, I have received card's and gift's from blip friends.
I have very excited Wildlings waiting on their dad coming home to take them in the garden and look up to the sky to spot Santa. Xander also says the tooth fairy is coming and will make him rich .
I hope that whatever is happening in your world on Christmas that you enjoy it . Merry Christmas friends. And virtual hugs to you all. Xx
