A Bad Moon Rising.

SWMBO and I were up for an early breakfast to go and collect special food orders for us and Bags.
We arrived at the shop for ours  and were directed round the side of the store and were back in the car within 5 minutes .... feeling very sorry for the girls handing out the orders in the freezing wind.
It was then on to collect Bags' order.
We arrived in time for the shop opening ....... and joined the back of a very long queue. 
An hour later and frozen solid we arrived at the head of the queue.
My feet have not warmed up all day..... and the pond has had ice on it all day too.

This afternoon our ill neighbour I mentioned on the 18th had a fall in his house and the neighbour between us went in and helped him into a chair. He was okay - apart from getting grief from his extremely upset (and severely disabled) wife.
However, a few minutes after the ambulance and paramedics arrived he passed away from a heart attack.
So sad that his wish to get through Christmas wasn't granted.
