Lorna's father's essay on Christmas Eve

In this essay composed on Christmas Eve of 89 years ago, we discover that Lorna's father Albert did not like crowded shops. We can also assume that he probably did not buy any Christmas presents for the rest of the family in 1931.

In addition, we learn that the BBC offered spending advice during the depression years of the 1930s, and 'regifting' (as we now call it) was a 'thing'.

The fireside mentioned in this piece is probably the one in the sitting room of the family house in Sheffield blipped yesterday.
