Changing skies

With clouds and possible showers moving in later in the day, we got out straight after breakfast to enjoy the sunshine, blue skies and beautiful cloud formations at Twin Creek Metro Park. The temperatures were quite mild today, but tomorrow will be cooler, and Christmas Day will be really cold, staying well below freezing! When we arrived at the car park, we were the only car there, and for the first 20-30 minutes we didn’t see a soul, but as we continued we did see a few people, and by the time we returned, after over 5 miles of hiking, our car had been joined by seven others. We had some left overs for lunch when we got back, then I had to get a few jobs done in the afternoon. Laura kindly offered to get dinner, a chicken chili which was very good. As I write, at 11pm, Roger has gone down to the airport to meet Jen and Jason.
