This morning we met C for a walk at the Heritage Loch, and I was delighted that I managed to walk round it all the way for the first time since my surgery almost 3 weeks ago. Afterwards we went to the Farm Museum for a coffee, probably the last time for a while as on Boxing Day all of Scotland will move into Level 4 lockdown, when all our restaurants, coffee shops, non essential shops of any kind, and non essential services, will all close for at least 3 weeks. The cafe at the Farm Museum is well organised, well distanced tables, and high ceilings for lots of fresh air, hopefully a safe environment.
It was great to chat with a warming cuppa, and we sat overlooking the big hall with the farm implements, and also beside the windows looking out to the path leading up to the farm, which is farmed 'fifties style, never having been modernised, and gifted to the Museum some years ago.
In the afternoon we had a visit from Croftcrafts, the HG's sister, and the three of us sat outside on the deck, with the heater on, having coffee and mince pies, baked by C and brought to us this morning. We sat and chatted as long as we could, but eventually the cold drove us apart. It was good to hear that Irene is feeling much better now that she has moved down from Sutherland.
