Christmas Robin
Slightly better weather meant that I was able to go for a longish walk round Ferry Meadows, one of the few local sites with surfaced paths that aren't mired in mud. I underestimated how busy it would be - though it was good to see lots of families out and about in the countryside, rather than shopping.
At this time of year it's easy to see why robins are the iconic Christmas bird. They defend their territories all year round and their boldness and characteristic song make them very visible now that the leaves have fallen.
