Journey to the centre of the earth?

I had a work meeting at the top of Glen Clova and was warned about this pothole that I would encounter on e way back down the glen. I didn't encounter it on the way up the glen as Glen Clova operates a rather charming, and largely informal one way system as there is a loop road.

Then me and the dogs had a bracing walk around Forfar Loch. It is just so cold out at the moment!
