DIY face paint the kids

Oscar found the face paints daddy brought back from Spain that I'd hidden away for the right time. Today was as good as any, so we got them out. I am not proud of my artistic skills and next time promise to google images for face painting. Despite all that, the twins absolutely loved the activity! Oscar demanded I added lips to his tiger face as he had seen a picture of a clown on the paint box. They laughed and insisted on looking again and again in the mirror.

They were little terrors after that. Dinner time was a mess. Their lovingly made spinach pancakes were squished between their fingers and passed between them before dropping on the floor. Oscar pulled all the clothes out of his drawers and then teamed up with Bailee who threw them around. Over. excited. children.

Maple started clapping today. She did it the first time copying her daddy. She especially likes to bang her right hand on her leg and coo and smile at him. She will do a 360 degree turn at the moment with her head to follow him around the room. She also says 'Uh, oh!" and has been doing so for about a week. So adorable!

On the food front, her favourite things are mandarin segments, cucumbers and banana porridge made with freshly expressed milk....
