The birdie watching me #14

Slept ok, but awake not long after 6 .....just dozed for a while before checking my phone.
Daughter was awake too! Up and downstairs quite early, just as well really, the oxygen installation guy was knocking on the door at 8.45! Didnt take long, done in 30 mins or so. The unit is quite noisy, put it in one of the spare bedrooms, good thing is it has a 15m tube which will allow hub to walk around much of the house. We also have a cylinder as back up just in case the unit breaks down, so we are good to go.

Next job was to set up the new tv.....bit of a faff connecting to the wireless router, but got it sorted, connected the Sky Q box, but couldn't get the channels tuned.....then realised no aerial, missing a coax cable. Have ordered one, it will be delivered tomorrow .

Grabbed todays blip, from the kitchen window when I spotted "my minder" checking I was ok, sat on the fence, looking a little damp in the morning mizzle.

Next a call to youngest son, to wish him a Happy 39th Birthday. He & his wife are looking forward to a night in a hotel and a meal this evening. A collage in extras.

Face time with hub...he had the best nights sleep hes had for weeks. Nurse had to wake him for breakfast at 8.20 :-) He felt so much better for some proper sleep, seems raring to get home, all good for tomorrow or so we thought :-/!

Late lunch for me, then a quick drive into town for a loaf, a fruit loaf & spring onions....oh and a Costa ;-). ssshhhh dont tell hub, I feel guilty when Im drinking it ;-)

Hub called back to say that his discharge had been put back to Christmas Eve, as they want to do another neck biopsy.....originally it was planned for today but got cancelled. Doc keen to do it as it will inform treatment going forward....it seems the cancellation was an admin cock up :-/ A bit disappointing, but got to look at the bigger picture.

Back home in the dark, its started raining again, really dreary! Put the bins out this evening a day early, luckily I remembered this week ;-) Made myself a hot smoked salmon & asparagus lemony pasta dish for dinner, quick, easy and tasty.

My neighbour is picking up a few things from their butchers in the morning for me, thats it then, sll done, other than collecting hub in the afternoon on Xmas Eve....... :-)

Last chat with hub pre bedtime......hes still,ok, despite the minor setback.
