Sacrifice and Commitment

My friend Izzi, from Essex - she managed to get home on Friday, but with all the talk about potentially stopping all travel between England and Northern Ireland, she decided to come back to Belfast again last night. Such a tough decision - it means spending Christmas away from her parents (who will miss her especially, since she’s an only child!).
She’s so committed to her studies - it shows through what she’s sacrificed, just in case she had to miss a few weeks of placement. You can tell a lot about what or who someone loves, by the sacrifices they’re willing to make - and we can understand more of God’s love by understanding what He gave up for us. Sometimes I can’t believe how committed He is to us. I struggle to show any patience to selfish people (including myself), and yet here He is, choosing to love us still!
