Euan's Cupboard
Most of the cupboards and drawers in the kitchen are on maximum security magna-locks, but this one is Euan's cupboard full of interesting things he can safely explore. Tonight he found the lids from the jars which did contain Grandad Tony's special apple sauce, which he enjoys with his morning porridge. He discovered they were pretty good for 'tap tap' and for fitting inside bigger lids. They also made a good sound when tapped on the yeast tin.
In other parts of the day, he lost his new wellies in the mud on a very soggy, slippery moor walk with Mummy and Daddy and Grandad. Luckily the grown ups were able to rescue them, but not before one sock got very, very muddy. On an afternoon visit to the Park, we discovered his all in one warm suit was not very good on the slide, too much friction. Heading home from the park, we paused to sing and sign twinkle twinkle at the village Christmas tree which had just lit up and looked very pretty.
Euan has also spent much of the day walking around instead of crawling, which is a very good sign, and he can now stand from sitting by doing a pretty impressive downward dog. Discovering Granny's pilates mat and triangle, it was great fun to scramble over it and slide down the other side. The mat also provided an interesting surface for bare feet. Endless exploring and learning!
ps. I'm not removing those painty fingermarks from the units just yet.
