Sunny!

The sky looked clear early on so I got up and out early to see if the sunrise would be good. There was a bit of colour in the sky but nothing spectacular. Nice to watch nevertheless. I spent a couple of hours wandering around the res & lanes before it got too busy with people. 

My main blip is a pair of great crested grebes. A third had just tried to join in but got swiftly repelled. In the photo, the pair are re-bonding rather than displaying. I then found this little male stonechat who just didn't want to stay still for a photo. I managed about 3 :) 

A friend of mine has Covid and I'm a bit shocked because she has been v careful (CEV) and only been outside her house for a monthly shop & fuel unless absolutely necessary. I'm hoping she will be fine...
