This is an ARK
An ARK is an Act of Restorative Kindness (to the earth). You can read more about ARKs here or in the extra.
This bit of local land has been designated an ARK by the local authority fisheries team which looks after the riverbank. It's a tricky bit of ground which slopes down to the river making it dangerous to care for and definitely not a place to walk. Anyone can create an ARK so if you're looking for something positive to do in the next lockdown what's stopping you. Well done Stirling Council and the two third sector organisations involved. And our pal A who made the frame for the sign. It's good to have the sign there as people can get sniffy about untended land. The ARK had an unexpected haircut at the end of the summer but from now on it will be left in peace and the newly planted trees can flourish.
It's a bonus day of beautiful sunshine. Just to confirm that we've passed the darkest day. I was out up to the castle earlier but all my potential blips were blown out by the bright light. So the ARK it is.
