A good day for baking

Horrid weather today - rained on and off all day and hardly got light!
So I made my Christmas cakes - yes I know it's late, everyone else makes theirs about hallowe'en - but I am usually making my friend's cake on 23rd, decorating it on 24th and deliver it on 25th - so to make it on 21st is early for me!  I make one for her and one for me - (but I just put marzipan on mine) but this time I made 24 little ones for me in the hope I will ration it and not pile on the weight in the week after Christmas because you just can't cut a small piece of a large cake can you? These little cakes weigh only  60-70g each - so, if I only eat one a day ....... if being the operative word!!! (two disappeared before they got cold!)
