Went over to the beach to see the bright star in the sky, and while I could see it just fine with my eye, the camera was not helpful.  I could see there were two dots, but with nothing stronger than the SX70, it was a no go.  Probably the best shots will be those done with a telescope.
SO, I shot the moon instead......:)
