Xmas bauble bokeh

Festive still life in reds .....
A busy, productive day, which reminds me I've not finished yet. I bought a cheap whole chicken in the Coop on Saturday, & gave it a makeover this afternoon. Boned, flattened, filled with a layer of good quality sausagemeat, the centre homemade herb & hazelnut stuffing, rolled, & wrapped in smoked streaky bacon rashers, tied & chilled. It now needs cutting into joints and freezing. 4 roasting joints, plus we had roast chicken leg & thighs for dinner tonight. All from 1 bird that cost £2.66.

Looking out the window now at the moon in it's First Quarter .. there's plenty of cloud around, such a shame for the astronomers hoping to catch Jupiter & Saturn overlapping in tonight's sky.
