mushrooms....

Today has been an up and down sort of day!  I went out in the morning to buy a few foodstuffs to give people for Christmas.  Came back and we had low voltage electricity (in fact since yesterday).  I had seen these mushrooms a couple of days ago and they were quite small - the large one today is about the size of a side plate.  This is another side effect of the rains!!  I saw black clouds so rushed to get a photo and I was glad I did!  We had the heaviest storm yet this season - 80mls in a short time!    December has certainly been a very wet month in this part of Zambia - we could do with a few dry days now!!
The Christmas lily (I don't know the name but it always blooms at this time of year) is out now too as in the extra ...loads of them around!
