Happy Solstice
Day off and unlike yesterday wet and overcast.
Like yesterday morning I was watching the live stream of the sunrise at Newgrange.
The weather at Newgrange was overcast and, so no repeat of yesterday's beautiful sunrise but lots of great background information on this wonderful site.
Some information about the Ballymeanoch stones that I have featured in my drawing from one of my triptychs.
This stone row points north-west aligning with the most northerly setting point of the midwinter full moon at the major standstill. To the south-east the stones indicate the rising point of the sun at the winter solstice.
