Festive Tinkling
Mono Monday: Festive Tinkling
We've made it out for a reasonable walk, but the wet overcast weather wasn't great for photos, although I did take a camera, just in case. Instead it has been a day for interior pursuits - such painting one's nails and tinkling the ivories (which are of course not made of ivory).
In the meantime 40 countries have now banned UK arrivals over fears of the new Covid strain. Supermarkets have indicated that there could be food shortages reasonably quickly if goods traffic across the channel is not able to resume shortly. So now our Numpty of a Prime Minister has to deal with the worsening Covid Crisis, an overdue Brexit Trade Negotation which will not now be ready for 1 January, and a UK travel blockade potentially leading to food and other shortages. I wish I could say that I had every confidence, or indeed just some confidence, that he was up to the challenge, but manifestly on the evidence of his performance to date it is going to be a difficult Winter here in the UK. Still, lets be optimistic, perhaps something will go right for a change :-)
Looking on the bright side, at the moment we are able to distract ourselves with festivities. With that in mind, I must get off to the kitchen to finish of the curry that I have been preparing for tonight's dinner.
