The Brewery Bits
A return trip to Edinburgh today to pick up Daughter Two, who is in our bubble and will be staying over Christmas. The outward journey was OK - even some snow on the hills after Crianlarich - but the drive home was pretty horrible, with rain and cloud most of the way back to Oban.
We didn't go anywhere near the city centre - a blip of one of the iconic buildings of Edinburgh would have been good - so here's the Caledonian Brewery on Slateford Road. Not the Scott Monument, but the best I could do today!
On the steps up to Slateford Road I found two Christmas cards, pulled out of their envelopes and lying on the wet concrete - I've put one on as an extra. Did the people concerned ever see them, I wonder? I doubt it - they were both from the same couple who must have dropped them before they were delivered. Sad.
