Muggy Monday/ Winter solstice

Rain.. again.. Our friends popped round briefly with a present for Fletch and for us .They've been self isolating/ shielding all year so nice to see them but awful that we couldnt invite them in. The rain eased off so we had a damp chat in the garden. 

It was drier later so we walked Fletch up to the park. No wind and quite mild but definitely a muggy day ( ie damp and misty and grey) 

Not many people in the park but lots of traffic on the way there, so everyone is probably out shopping today ( while they can!)  I plan to go out tomorrow for food.. let's hope theres some left. At least I dont need toilet rolls! Lol

The news is depressing today.  
But.. today is Winter solstice and slowly the dark nights will recede! 
I would have liked to have seen the ' Christmas Star' ( the conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter ) but it's too cloudy!
