Dear Diary,

Today is the Winter Solstice, the darkest day of the year, but Ratty and Philomena want to let you know that they are guarding the light and it is safe.  I just got this wonderful book from a needle felter from Wales that I follow, Karin Celestine.  She writes wonderful children's books and this is her latest.  Her website, Celestine and the Hare, just delightful.  "The light will always return because it is guarded by small beings and they are steadfast in their task".  Happy Solstice from all the Lightbringers here in Maine!
