Bracken

Charlotte and Bracken share a hug at the Accidental Zoo. Bracken is such a gentle and affectionate calf. The whole family look after all the animals together and the children are very good at finding eggs. The chickens and ducks are very clever at hiding them!
Mildred the emu has started laying her eggs and so far is laying about two each week. One egg was cracked open by a crow and so our son has started to move the eggs to a safe place until she has finished laying. It is planned to put them all back in the shelter once Mildred has finished her laying. Male emus sit on the nest and will bring up the young so George is standing by.
