Spider...

...I’m behind with comments. I was also behind with many jobs, but I had a big catch up today and hope to be back on track tomorrow.

It was 11pm before I remembered about a blip. But then there was a spider on the kitchen floor and we did the ‘you find a glass and open the door, while I watch it’, thing. We (work as a well-oiled spider rescue team and) were just about to release it into the great outdoors (which still feels a bit unkind) when (duh) I realised I was still holding the phone aloft, and seeking a blip.
‘Stop! Can you bring it back in for a minute?’

Fortunately it sat still, missing its final opportunity to escape to the dust under the fridge.
It’s safely outside now, where it’s wet but not too chilly.
Thank you Mrs Spider.

The glass is one I only keep because my Mother bought it... As one does. (And despite myself I would be sad to lose it now). Clearly it has been waiting, with it’s kitsch little lobster etching, for this opportunity to shine.
