Rainy days

I managed another outing today, YAY!

Though it still baffles me what to do when I reach an unfamiliar step (I’m never certain which foot to go with first), I overcome it with the sheer joy that I’m out and about.

We didn’t go too far; about 3 miles down the road to my Mum’s to doorstep deliver her Christmas card and arrange what we are doing on Christmas Day.
She always comes to us for her Christmas dinner and since Mr A is doing such a good job with our Sunday roasts, he’s happy to make our festive feast.
Mum was made up to see me, which made the trip out even more satisfying.

The weather was awful, absolutely bucketing down at one point (when I took this photo!), but I was toasty warm in the car with the heated seat on.

When we arrived home, the lady who made our Christmas card (yesterday’s Blip) was also just getting out of her car, so she walked down a little way to ask how I was and to wish us a Merry Christmas. Her husband has been in the wars too; she said he had fallen off his bicycle, so was a bit bruised and battered.
Nice to know I’m not the only disaster on the close! ;-)
