It was 'BITTER' this morning with fluttering flakes of snow up on the moor and our walk provided no blip material.

Last year we spotted a heron's nest down on a pond at Runnage Farm and ever since when we have driven past we always lookout for him. Then this morning I saw him squatted down in some rushes near the road. I took a shot from inside the car (inset picture) but as I got out, off he went, I fired off a few shots as he flew past. At that point we had to move because we were blocking the road but it looks as if he is back!
