Orkney Woodland

One of those days when you are busy doing nothing!

It is a myth that Orkney has no trees! There aren't many because of the ever present wind and they only grow in sheltered spots, but once they are established, they can do pretty well. This is our neighbours garden and it's full of wonderfully mature trees. Lovely to see all the snowdrops and hellebores flowering just now and the daffodils not far behind.

Garden club meeting at night. There were some quizes, and a raffle, and I won some prizes, and apparently my competitive side is not an attractive one! So I asked Himself - am I the most competitive person you know?! I reckon it's something to do with coming from a large family . . . !
