Crackers, Or Maybe Not

Well Downing Street featured heavily today. This morning I watched the Prime Minister in conversation with his staff. I was very proud of the way he stood up to the American President on his visit to No 10 and I thought it was great that he was calling on inhabitants of the less salubrious parts of London to wish them a Merry Christmas. 

However the best bit of all was when he got caught behind the scenes snogging Martine McCutcheon. I do love Hugh Grant. See him in Extras, or watch Love Actually yourself.

Back to reality and dreadful news form No 10. so many Christmas plans ruined. We are fortunate that we are still allowed to spend Christmas Day with The Mate and The Bro-in-Law, and feel safe in doing so. We 4 have all kept ourselves very well away from things. The table was laid with crackers for our Amber Nook visitors.

This morning's trip to the local cinema was an unusual treat. 5 of us had the hire of one of the screens for a private booking. A Christmas present for The Mate from his work colleagues. He had the choice of film and chose Love actually. Great fun.
