View towards Rheinhessen

Not far from our house, you overlook the Rhein/Rhine valley from Mainz to just beyond Ingelheim. On clear days, you can see the Odenwald hills to the left and the Hunsrück upland to the right, with the Taunus behind you. A lot of typical German Mittelgebirge (a collective term for the central uplands).

It's a familiar landscape for me, and I love this view. It might feature quite often in my journal, in different seasons.

P.S.: Rani has definitely claimed Moot's old place on the shelf by now.
