Mosses, lichens and liverworts

The trees around here are never bare even in winter, a whole other world grows on the trunks and branches.

We tried to catch the break in the weather to go out for a long walk this morning but half way round the rain poured down and hubby and I were both soaked to the skin by the time we arrived back at the car

Now we are doing a Christmas tidy up, partly because we have lost one of KK's Christmas presents. It arrived by post but now seems to have completely vanished. It's a mystery.
