08 Days Until Christmas

Well now that I just did the math in my head I think my daughter may have forgotten to update her Christmas calendar. It's actually seven days until Christmas. We met at her house and started a new tradition tonight making gingerbread houses together. Such fun and probably the first time I really felt some Christmas spirit. It's such a different year this year. Just a sign of the times we are all living through. We were not together for two weeks and it felt so nice to be together. I was sitting in the other room after I was done making my gingerbread house listening to them in the kitchen where we were making the gingerbread houses with Christmas music playing, conversation going on laughing and singing and it just filled my heart with such joy. The magic of the season, family is everything!
