Ducks Ditty

‘All along the backwater
Through the rushes tall
Ducks are a dabbling
Up tails all.
Ducks’ tails, drakes’ tails
Yellow feet a quiver
Yellow bills out of sight
Busy in the river’.
I always think of Kenneth Grahame and’ The Wind in the Willows’ when I see ducks diving.
Managed to get in an hour’s walk between the showers and am now looking forward to finishing my book.
