Flooring Dept. Sales

Here is Kenny the super nice tile salesperson at Lowe's. While he was showing me different shower tiles (yes, we are approaching that point, whew!) this woman kept following us around and seemed to want to speak to him. She got his attention and he apologized saying, "This is my mother." he we back to his calculator figuring out how much tile I needed. She continued what I thought as pestering him.
Finally, I said to her, "Look, mum, he's making a sale here."
Later as I returned for something else she was there again and Kenny explained that she wants to buy a washer-dryer. He probably gets an employee discount.
An unflappable young man ... is it me or are employees with expertise getting younger and younger?
