Market Day

And after such a lovely day yesterday we were back to gloom and rain today.

Nonetheless, we went to the market to buy our prawns for Saturday evening and to the Urban Farm Shop for the garlic and ginger. Well, I went to the Urban Farm Shop, Len trekked to the butcher to ask when he could collect our Christmas capon. Tuesday. He needn't have bothered but he waited in the queue for ages to ask.

Meanwhile, Basil and I walked up to Colin's in pouring rain. Colin put our coats on the radiators and made me a decaf coffee. The best bit was the brandy that he offered. Except that it  made me sleepy for the rest of the day.
