And I said to her, I said...
A common sight around here is groups with their take away coffees huddled around. I saw so many good blips that I didn’t manage to take, two ladies in mobility scooters peering into Wilko, then two homeless people whispering and laughing to each other. Very hard to take a good shot without it being very obvious though, so I had to settle for these blokes instead. As a result it’s a bit out of focus.
Got my covid test back negative so that’s good. All set for Xmas.
James usually goes into town on about the 23rd December and attempts to buy all his presents for me, his parents and his three siblings in one afternoon. It’s a very miserable and stressful afternoon every year, but so far it’s been a successful strategy.
This year of course that’s not possible and so the system has collapsed somewhat. He’s yet to order some people a present. Yes he has left it very late. How is that going to work? I don’t know it’s a very good question. Does he at least know what he’s getting everyone? No. Some people he has no idea still.
He’s now busy on the phone rerouting the presents he has ordered to different addresses for where we will be over Christmas becuase they won’t be delivered here in time. Is it all a mess? Yes. Yes it is. Do we love him anyway? ... I suppose so... ask me again on Christmas morning...
