Santa Hat

I've been very grateful to have a job and one I could do from home during this pandemic. I felt safe and secure.

Yesterday I learned I am not safe and secure. I am still currently employed but I submitted my first application last night.

Last night the county salt trucks went out. There was one that developed some trouble and made a really neat, rhythmic sound. If I knew music better I would describe it to you. The crew got out and took a shovel to the salt in the back which contributed complementary rhythm.

Today the snow came and I liked the chair with the drifting snow on it. Early in the pandemic I stood on my deck table and played my guitar and crashed through the table and realized that was SO STUPID and I was so lucky not to be hurt and have to go to the hospital, especially now. Inspection revealed that all but one of the deck chairs was ready to collapse so I finally replaced it with a whole new set. When my hairdresser found me I moved this last, safe one to the driveway and left it there so she could cut my hair outside.

The Santa hat is from a company holiday party in 2006. My boss was a terrific man but not goofy. My colleagues wanted to see him in the hat for fun so he put it on and as soon as possible took it off and gave it to me.
