So much for my plan to self-isolate before Christmas! I walked to deliver a card to my old workplace and got a bear-hug from a much-missed ex-colleague as well as an invitation to a small gathering there next week. I'll forego the gathering but the hug was lovely. The endorphins probably boosted my immune system by enough to deal with the marginally increased risk of Covid. 

The happy entropy of my picture is the front garden of the nearby Buddhist Temple.


I know this is minority taste but for those who share mine, YouTube's algorithms have taken me to a version of Messiah that I'm loving. It's much lighter than I'm used to and I'm hearing things I've never heard before despite having listened to it countless times as well as having sung it.
