Kitchen experiments
A wet and windy day, so I've been getting on with some Christmas preparations.
With Richard still away, it also feels like a good time to try out a few culinary experiments - perhaps weeding out obvious bad bets and accumulating a few new ideas. A common lockdown/tier 3 pastime :-)
Today's effort was pancakes made with chestnut flour. It's gluten free and has a lovely, slightly sweet taste. Despite the lack of gluten, the batter works fine. We may be looking after Richard's niece at Christmas, who needs a gluten-free diet. So this is a useful result...
