Shut the Gate!

Mike’s birthday today so yesterday Rebecca ordered six afternoon festive teas from our favourite cafe in Hebden. 
We went early afternoon to collect them.
A rather wet and wind ride but really enjoyable to be in the undulating dales.
Beautifully packed and we all got a savoury and sweet box each.
Back in Skipton we called for a bottle of good champagne.
So it was afternoon tea with fizz.
As good as their usual standard, every crumb was delicious, what a treat.
We have all left our cakes and scones to have with a cup of Yorkshire tea later because we are so full.
On the way to the tea rooms we came to this gate as we drove through one of the farms .
Kitty kindly got out in the wind and rain to open and close it for us in the pouring rain.
So that’s my blip as we had eaten our savouries before l remembered to take a photograph.
Zooming with Tim and Adele this evening, no doubt discussing Christmas. We had  already decided not to meet up a couple of weeks ago . So it will be more about how to exchange presents.
