Phan Thiet by night

my third time into this city. i'm getting familiar with it... or enough to know where all the tourist spots are.

while looking the empty sky in the background, i wondered how much longer before all the sky scrappers shoot up. it's interesting how Phan Thiet is relatively poor with many of its residents being fishmen, but you scooch in about 20 km and you get Mui Ne. it's more of a town than a city, but it's littered with high end resorts, shops, and restaurants with price range that are completely out of reach to its local residents. in between the high end resorts and shops, you can see small run down houses of the local residents. but the tourists bring in the money and shot up the land value for both cities. the locals must be happy...i think. they always glare at us as we walk by, so i can't tell if they're ever happy. three tall condos are being built in Mui Ne. soon there will be sky scrappers. no one cared about Phan Thiet and Mui Ne 10 years ago.
