Ennerdale

It was freezing cold today so decided to do a low level walk. Ennerdale is an area we have never visited although I did spend half a day at the western end on a Lakeland Photographic Holidays workshop in November.

Today was generally overcast although there was the occasional break in the clouds in the early afternoon.

We walked round Ennerdale, starting on the more difficult South side. This picture was taken at the eastern end of the lake. We really liked Ennerdale and intend to come back when the weather is warmer and walk up to Black Sail. It has a more remote feel to it than the central lakes.
