On'line' learning.

With some schools having to close and offer online learning, I thought today's blip history lesson should cover a former railway Iron Bridge.
Built in the early 1870's, it was the subject of some opposition; a journalist at the Council's meeting to discuss the bridge's building noted that 'the proceedings were unfit for reproduction in any respectable newspaper.'
The railway company carried on with construction, and it now forms part of the Tarka Trail (well used by walkers, runners, cyclists, anglers.)
I'm not sure if the flock of birds are lapwings.

The history test paper will be posted on Dec 25th., so moderation with the chocolate liqueurs will be required.
