First P. Ardens flowers of the new season
Yesterday I noticed the first P. Ardens flowers of the new season were just beginning to unfurl at the end of their long flower stalk. Hopefully there will be several more than grow further along the stalk in the next weeks.
It always amazes me that this plant will flower in winter. Actually it flowers whenever it feels like it, though the fact that it is close to the radiator may have an influence.
Normally when I photograph it I use a tripod. Today was rather trickier, as I was shooting into the setting sun through the window behind. I'll definitely take more photos soon as I like to see its tiny stamens and anther which are very pretty.
