I'm still clearing the garden of unwanted foliage (though it's mostly stickage now). This week will be the fifteenth large, crammed-full, garden-waste bin since I moved in. This is most of the current lot cleared - it reached my ankles when I was on top of the ladder with the loppers.

A visit today from the Planning Department and the architect to try to resolve last week's fiasco. The Planning Department didn't make a decision on my application by the 2 December deadline they'd set themselves and when the architect chased they asked us simply to withdraw the application. What?! Anyway, it seems that the 'fenestration' I want isn't Victorian enough so the architect will go away and draw some smaller windows.
