Another past December concert…

2 years ago we were at The Hydro seeing Paul McCartney.

This was the eighth time across 39 years that I’ve seen him live. I keep thinking each time is likely to be the last!

This page from my book: Although not the most recent concert I went to, this is the final page of my book - there seemed to be a nice bit of symmetry in bookending it with my first McCartney concert at page 1 and with the most recent (final?) one at the end. We managed to get premium/soundcheck tickets for this, so it was very special getting to see the band soundcheck in the afternoon and have a centre seat very near the front in the evening. Magic!
 


Extra: Page 6. I mentioned in a previous blip in this series that I reckon that Simple Minds are probably the act that I’ve seen most often. One of those was on this day in 1987 when they did a Cash for Kids charity fundraiser at the Barrowland. No programme for that one – the 3 programmes on the page relate to the other 3 tickets.
