Views down the Fairy Steps along the River Skell. The Fairy Steps were adapted during the First World War to allow access to what was then the largest military camp in Europe. The adaptations gave access to horse drawn cannons and early tanks. The area is now a nature reserve, adjacent to Studley Park.
