Ideas Shelved

What with the ereader gradually becoming the go to disseminator of the written word (someone recently gave me a disc with 1800 books on it) I wonder if bookshelves will soon be a thing of the past? Maybe in future they'll just be facsimiles - there to hide secret passageways and drinks cabinets. Our bookshelves are also used for storage of a Brooks leather saddle, a 53 year old teddy bear, a couple of old cameras and a broken toy helicopter - amongst many other things no one can be bothered to find a proper place for.
Yes, another day filled with a lack of enthusiasm and/or opportunity for a blip resulted in another walk around the house in search of a picture.
