An unusual decoration

We were thrilled a few years ago when a very dear friend gave us this bauble. There is a very strong tradition of beautiful art produced by our Indigenous peoples. We have two treasured paintings in our home, both painted by accomplished artists of the Keringke Arts group, whose home is Santa Teresa in the Northern Territory. Kathleen Wallace and Therese Davis are the two wonderfully talented artists whose paintings we have.

As well as their major works Keringke Arts very cleverly also produce smaller items like our bauble. We were so pleased when we saw that our bauble also came from Keringke Arts.

Santa Teresa is about 100 kms of dirt road east of Alice Springs. The extra shows our 4WD heading off to drive to Santa Teresa in 2005.
