..... and still it Reins....deer

Slept ok, probably got 7 hours overall!
Absolutely pouring down when I woke and it has continued pretty much all day!

After breakfast I got together the bits that hub had asked me to drop over to the hospital. I called at daughters to collect a hand made card that she and Emily had made for hub.
I also collected the newspapers, for hub and a couple of the other guys on his ward. The motorways were quiet but so much spray!!

I got soaked so many times, at daughters, at the newsagents, walking to the hospital, walking back to the car......hub face timed me just as I got back to the car. Hes feeling rather couped up with no windows or daylight, I showed him the rain bouncing off the car park and told him it was cold, only 6 degrees! Not sure it did the trick though :-/

My plan was to drive to my sis's from the hospitals, as I was half way there already, so we could exchange christmas pressies. When I messaged to say Id be half an hour, she was out walking Kobi and BiL had just gone to get his hair cut.....so I said I would go via Costa to pass little time. Didnt expect a queue of 15 cars inmte drive thru, but Imwasnt in any rush so joined it! Typically, Id just gone past the point of no return, when sis text to say she was home. Good job the coffee was worth the wait!

It was great to see sis and BiL, a lot,of catching up, Kobi was beside himself, my ears and face were treated to his speciality ;-)

The drive home wasnt too nad, but it was getting dark, still pouring down so took it steady, home not long after 4.

Turned the heating up, light all the candles and fairy lights, then took todays blip......I have two of these little reindeers on the mantlepiece
with a winter berry type garland, intertwined with fairylights....as you can see here, its minimalist but pretty, well I think so :-)

Ive had turkey, bacon & chorizo pasta for dinner this evening, with some roasted cauliflower on the side, bit random as son said when he rung, but it was tasty and filled a hole ;-) Hub had face timed him earlier, and our other son and his wife and four girls last night, all feeling better for having seen him.

Just watched SCD results, gutted that Ranvir didnt make it, but think it was the right result.

Hubs breathing similar to yesterday, doc says it will take time....physio tomorrow, wont be home for a few days yet it seems :-/
Can't rush these things, no matter how much we would like, has to be one day at a time.

Happy safe week out there folks!
