Festive figures
There is a village competition for the best decorated house exterior which, so far, few people seem to taken up. It is not so much of a tradition here as it has become in the UK. However, I spotted these cheery characters on a window ledge. The church was very cold this morning despite me going an hour early to light two industrial gas blowers. It felt even colder by the time we had finished a long PCC meeting. After a quick walk, we went for to see a friend who produced a traditional German afternoon tea with home made cakes and fancies - very tasty and enjoyable company. We have invited some friends for a meal on Christmas day fearing they would be alone. Tonight we had an invitation from another friend fearing we would be alone. Sadly I had to turn the invitation down but it was a lovely thought.
